The supernatural community in Seattle is varied and widespread with a large number of Changelings, Scions and Lesser Talents. Lord Montague maintains a peace between all these factions through political manipulation and manuevering for the most part making Seattle a safe haven to the supernatural world.

After the horrific events of Black Monday the supernatural community in Seattle realized that something needed to be done to protect the community from Supernatural threats. The Conclave of Emerald was founded as a result and was chaired by Lord Montague. He has since been driven from Seattle and the current chair of the Conclave is his ruthless arch-rival Aaron Mercer.

WHAT IS THE MUNDANE STATUS QUO?

Seattle has one of the best educated populaces in the nation. Because of this most mundanes are willing to rationalize away any evidence of the supernatural despite the high level of activity within the city.

WHO WANTS TO MAINTAIN THE STATUS QUO?

Aaron Mercer has taken over the city from his longtime White Court rival Lord Montague. He has since been consolidating his power by positioning the Tora Sagami Clan as the Conclave’s chief enforcers. Before he was supplanted by Mercer, Montague had promised that position to The Pack’s Dozer. But the mighty werewolf has since lost his connection to his wolf along with half of his Pack and they are not in a position to contest it.
