Toshiro has made an impact in the I-District community with his eccentricities and energy of a 30-something hipster Kendo Sensei.

The community doesn’t suspect that he is actually over 150 years old…

Toshiro was a member of the Shisengumi back in the day. The tales of his exploits got folded into the legend of his friend, Sojiro Okita who was the one who ended up in most of the History books. Especially since in Japan, Toshiro Watanabe is one of the most generic names possible.

Growing up in that time, Toshiro spent most of his time learning how to fight with a sword because he wasn’t very good at much else.

Back in Japan he somehow obtained a Masamune and continues to carry it today.

Today he does much the same thing he’s always done: protect the innocent, uphold Bushido, collect his pay, repeat. Or at leas that’s what he’s supposed to be doing. A few months before Wizard Miller’s death, Toshiro disappeared for the most part from the Seattle scene. He pops in from time-to-time but for the most part he is no-where to be found.

Most of his story is untold at this point. When and if his story ever crosses with the powers at large, perhaps more will be revealed.
