With delusions of his own worth Vice Principle Vernon is a bitter little man who delights in commanding obedience from the students of the Busch School. He is intensely disliked by the progressive staff of the school but plays politics well enough to keep his position as Vice Principle. He is not above using black mail and intimidation.
