Grandfather to Fergus Mac Cormaic, Manus was an ancient troll who carried the Mantle of the Guardian of the Seventh Gate for centuries before he was mortally wounded. He died in Fergus’s arms and passed the mantle on to him much to the dismay of Máire, a Dryad Warrior and the one who was supposed to inherit the role.
