DEMONIC WOLF OF CHERNOBOG (Otherwordly Scale)
UNIQUE CONDITIONS:
Chernobog’s Hunger (sticky): [ ][ ][ ][ ][ ]
Dozer is now a tool of the ancient Slavic deity of murder, death, winter and wolves. This condition is marked as he exerts himself, as described in his stunts. If every box has been marked, he can no longer contain his hunger: the only actions he may take are killing and seeking out additional food. Dozer recovers this condition by devouring the spirits of his prey. Devouring a human’s flesh along with its spirit will completely replenish this condition while a ghost or some other spirit will merely fill one box.
Demonic Wolf Form (lasting): [ ]
Dozer will vomit forth a corrupt, shadowy mess that will seemingly consume his body, transforming him into a demonic wolf. Mark a box of Chernobog’s Hunger when changing into animal form. He may transform back to human form at any time unless his Chernobog’s Hunger Condition has been depleted. Then he must consume spirits to get at least 1 point of it back before transformation is possible. While transformed, the following apply:
- Take the Form of a Demonic Wolf aspect in addition to your other aspects.
- Swap the ratings of Force for Focus and Haste for Intellect
- Gain all the inherent abilities of a massive wolf, which may confer automatic success on certain rolls. However, he also gains all their inherent limitations, such as not being able to speak and lacking opposable thumbs.
- He also benefits from scale (page 182) when using his wolf form to exceed human capabilities: keen predatory senses, inordinate strength & speed, overly large form that provides access to something inaccessible to normal mortals. Any opposition he faces, however, will have a level of scale against him whenever he is at a significant disadvantage compared to human beings.
Marked by Chernobog (special): [x]
This is always marked, unless your tie with your sponsor is severed. You are supernaturally marked as having an ongoing pact with your sponsor, and any supernatural being can perceive that this is so. A soulgaze or other divination is required to discern who your sponsor is.
Dead (sticky): [ ]
Mark this box to absorb any amount of physical damage. The revenant is dead, but unless utterly annihilated, its body will continue moving. Recovery occurs automatically after a short amount of time undisturbed. This time may vary at GM discretion; being shot to death may need only a few minutes to recover, while being torn to pieces may need the remainder of the scene. Recovering from this condition automatically results in every Chernobog’s Hunger box being marked.
Unholy (lasting): [ ]
If Dozer takes damage from a sanctified weapon or comes into contact with a holy object, or if he is on holy ground mark this box. While this condition is marked, he is unable to recover conditions that represent physical injury. Recovering from this takes a full scene away from the holy object.
Hurt (sticky): [ 4 ]
Mark this condition to absorb four shifts of physical harm. Recovery requires at least one scene of downtime at full rest, obtaining medical attention, binding wounds, et cetera.
Injured (lasting): [ 6 ]
Mark this condition to absorb six shifts of physical harm. When Injured, as with theDoomed condition, death is a distinct possibility. Another character capable of seeing to your injury must overcome an obstacle at Great (+4) or higher, in quiet and ideal conditions, to help you begin recovery. You recover fully at the end of the next session after beginning recovery.
CORE STUNTS:
Dead Already:
Dozer may mark off a box of Chernobog’s Hunger to recover his In Peril condition, even in combat, provided that the condition represents a physical injury.
Demonic Toughness:
Mark one box of Chernobog’s Hunger to absorb two shifts from a physical attack.
Ice Magic:
Mark a box of Chernobog’s Power to perform Ice magic Attacks with Focus as per Evocation (pg 140). Mark In Peril and Doomed in place of Exhausted and Burnt Out.
ADDITIONAL STUNTS:
Beast Form Adept: x2
- +1 to Force in Wolf Form
- +1 to Haste in Wolf Form
Cloak of Shadows:
You can see perfectly in the dark and are immune to any potential effect of normal or magical darkness. Additionally, once per session, you may declare that you automatically succeed at hiding from any non-magical attempt to spot you, provided you have a nearby shadow to hide in.
Ghostbane (requires Cloak of Shadows):
You ignore the incorporeality of insubstantial creatures (e.g., ghosts, specters) and affect them as though they were physical.
CURRENT REFRESH: 0
Spent Refresh: 4
STRESS: [ 1 ] [ 1 ] [ 1 ] [ 1 ] [ 1 ] [ 1 ]
CONDITIONS:
In Peril (sticky): [ 4 ]
You may mark the In Peril condition whenever you are hit by an attack. Negate up to four shifts of damage from the attack and then create an aspect that describes how the attack causes damage not easily shaken off (such as a Broken Leg or Shattered Reputation). Whoever inflicted the condition is awarded a free invoke on that aspect. Recover from In Peril when you act deliberately to resolve the peril: medical attention for an injury, a bribe to erase the slight on your reputation. This typically entails overcoming an obstacle against an opposition of Great (+4) or higher.
Doomed (lasting): [ 6 ]
You may mark the Doomed condition whenever you are hit by an attack. Negate up to six shifts of damage from the attack and then create an aspect that describes how the attack has rendered you almost helpless, such as Bleeding Out or Ready to Embrace the Dark Side. Whoever inflicted the condition is awarded a free invoke on that aspect. Recover from Doomed when you act deliberately to resolve the doom: emergency medical attention, the intervention of a White Council healer skilled in mental magic, or something similar. This typically entails overcoming an obstacle against an opposition of Great (+4) or higher. Clear out Doomed at the end of the next session after you’ve started recovery. If Doomed is checked and you are taken out (page 189), death is one of the possible outcomes.

Bio:
An implacable force of nature, Dozer was the founder and leader of The Pack for a decade. He is a former Navy SEAL who came back from the Middle East disillusioned and disgusted with his government. He had a very hard time adjusting to civilian life but was making good progress with the help of his wife who loved him unconditionally and volunteer counselor, Craig Big Eagle. When his wife was murdered by a Red Court Vampire Dozer sought out the vampire and was utterly defeated by him. Left humiliated and hurting Dozer hit rock bottom almost certainly to die.
Craig BIgEagle found him and tended his wounds both physical and spiritual. That was when Dozer first connected with the wolf spirits of the Salish. He embraced the wolf becoming a totem warrior. He hunted down and destroyed the vampire who had caused him so much anguish. Vengeance satisfied he found other men and women of similar spirit and helped them find the path of the Wolf. He hates vampires to this day and will do anything in his considerable to destroy them.
Dozer had his heart ripped out by a Wild Fae Wolf and in order to survive he made a pact with Chernobog, the god of winter, death and wolves. Through his sympathetic link to the Pack Chernobog was able to corrupt them and attempted to take them over. Craig BigEagle was able to purify The Pack with a ritual ending that influence but in the process Dozer lost access to his Wolf. He left The Pack under the command of Callisto while he went on Walkabout in the hope of reconnecting with it and regaining his power.
It has since been revealed that Dozer was captured and sacrificed in the name of Chernobog and has become an undead, demonic wolf avatar of the God of Murder. He tried to take over the Pack in Chernobog’s name but was thwarted by Charles Kress who magically exposed his demonic nature to the Pack who rejected him. His whereabouts are currently unknown.
