UNIQUE CONDITIONS:
Physical Transformation [ ]
Pg. 154
Exhausted (sticky) [ ]
Check this condition to boost your magical power, as described by the Evocation stunt. When you are Exhausted, the GM has one boost to use against you in any scene in which your fatigue may be used against you. Clearing Exhausted, of course, requires an active effort to rest. The GM may allow this recovery to occur between any two scenes involving a sufficient time jump.
Burned Out (lasting) [ ]
Check this condition to further boost your magical power, as described by the Evocation stunt. If Burned Out, you cannot use magic, period, until fully recovered. Begin recovery by eating, meditating, or otherwise deliberately resting as per the Exhausted condition. Recover fully at the end of the following session.
The Third Eye (sticky) [ ]
Mark this condition when utilizing your magical Sight to view the mystical, true world overlaid on the material world. While the condition is marked checked, your memory is eidetic and the following are true:
You view everything as a metaphorical expression of its true nature.
The Sight ignores supernatural disguises or glamours and grants no guidance in interpretation of what is seen.
CORE STUNTS:
Demonic Physique:
Apply scale to toughness, speed or other physical attributes.
Cloak of Shadows:
You can see perfectly in the dark and are immune to any potential effect of normal or magical darkness. Additionally, once per session, you may declare that you automatically succeed at hiding from any non-magical attempt to spot you, provided you have a nearby shadow to hide in.
Evocation:
As a wizard, you can cast magical spells comprising the five elements: fire, air, earth, water, and spirit. In game terms, you may perform any of the four basic actions with spectacular magical effects such as defending with a shield of ice or creating an advantage by shifting earth beneath the opponent’s feet. Your actions may have scale (page 182) at the GM’s discretion. If desired, push yourself to increase the spell’s effect as follows:
- Check a stress box for +1 or two boxes for +2 on any one magical action. You may check only two boxes at a time.
- Mark Exhausted to add +4 to any single magical action or to attack multiple targets magically without dividing your roll (page 190).
- Mark Burned Out to gain +2 to all magical actions for the rest of the scene or, if Exhausted is already checked, to attack multiple targets with magic without having to divide your roll.
These benefits are cumulative: if you mark two stress boxes and both conditions, you could do a single magical action at +8, and then have +2 to all magical actions for the rest of the scene.
Thaumaturgy:
You excel at ritual magic (page 168). Add +2 to the preparation roll for any ritual.
Soulgaze:
When looking someone directly in the eye for more than a few seconds, you peer into their soul and they likewise see into yours. The exchange manifests itself as a cryptic vision. Make an Intellect roll, opposed by their Intellect roll; the winner learns one concrete, useful piece of information about the other individual, or two things if they succeed with style. On a tie, each person learns something. These things can be advantages with a free invoke at the GM’s discretion.
ADDITIONAL STUNTS:
Faster, Stronger, Tougher
Pg. 145 Mark Mojo on Loan rather than Wyld Power
Ghostbane
Natural Weapon
Pg. 158 (only while transformed)
Combat Wizard:
You are well versed in using magic in battle. Gain two stress boxes explicitly for the purposes of enhancing evocations; thus, these stress boxes may not absorb attacks.
Duelist Wizard:
You specialize in fighting other wizards. Once per session, when opposing another wizard, you may immediately inflict a 2-shift hit on any defense when your action succeeds with style.
The Sword of Wrath:
A long sword with a straight, double-edged blade, a forward-curved cross-guard. You must have an aspect related to your position as carrying the Sword of Wrath. It is a permanently-sharp long sword that cannot be broken except with a magical ritual predicated upon perverting its purpose. The Sword of Wrath counts as Holy and as Fire for the purpose of fulfilling Catches. When smiting those with cause to fear the Righteous Wrath of God (fallen angels, demons and servants of other gods or evil beings) the Sword of Wrath gains a +1 Scale against them. As a blade imbued with powerful magics, it may be used to defend against magical evocations, as well as ranged attacks. The Sword of Wrath’s power is such that those who recognize it will tread a little lightly, lest they find themselves on the wrong end of the blade. All social skills are rolled at +1.
Hellfire:
You can infuse your evocations with demonic energy. When casting an evocation, there is no limit to how many boxes of stress you may check to enhance your spell. You get +1 to your roll for every box checked; however, if you check three or more boxes at once, your stress becomes a sticky condition. Healing this condition requires you to spend time dedicated to recharging (such as dedicated meditation, an evening spent relaxing with friends, or even just a good night’s sleep). Once recovered, your stress becomes a fleeting condition again.

Representing how much control the host has yielded to the demon.
Separated from host (lasting): [ ]
Mark this if the holder of the coin is forced to give it up for some reason. This may be done willingly, such as to avoid confrontation with the knights of the cross.
Bio:
Azael is a powerful demon embodied on Earth by the Blackened Denarian carried by his host. For several years he had possessed Abigail Youngblood but he could no longer sustain her cancer ravaged body and he sought a host that would give him access to great magics. His initial target was Jack Youngblood but the young warden proved resistant to taking up the coin. In his stead the demon possessed the comatose body of John Youngblood II. Jack’s father. The demon’s whereabouts are unknown as are his plans. But it is clear that it is very interested in the Youngblood family.
Update:
Azael abandoned John Youngblood II’s body has taken a new host. It is not known why he abandoned the senior Youngblood’s body but it may have something to do with the coma he is in. His new host is the depraved murderer and Rulebreaker, Barry Goldman. Goldman has ties to Jack Youngblood, having encountered and battled him in the past and the two despise each other. Azael taking the young warlock as his host is a thumb in the eye to demons and dark gods like Chernobog and Sebassis who Goldman has served in the past.
